Brand vs Marketing

What is the difference between branding and marketing? A lot of business owners do get one confused with the other. Branding used to be known as the logo, the image or visual, what you look like. Today, branding is much more than what you look like. It is who you are, what you stand for, and your character traits. It is the customer’s experience with your brand, also known as the relationship.

Marketing is the activity to which you get your brand noticed. A logo belongs to a brand. Putting the logo on a billboard with a message is marketing.

To put it simply, branding is the being, and marketing is the doing.
